How to use the AI Use Policy for Tradies

Step 1: Create dedicated pages

Copy the wording into a new decided web page titled “AI Policy”

These pages should be accessible without a login. They don’t have to be in your main menu, but they must be easy to find from your website footer.

Step 2: Add links to the footer of every page

In the footer of your website, on every page, add links to your AI policy. These links should appear on every page

Example footer text:
“© [Your Business Name]. All rights reserved. | [Privacy Policy] | [Terms of Use] | [AI Policy]

Step 3: Link to policies where relevant

Add a short note near any form where people submit their details to you, such as quote forms, booking forms or contact forms:

 “By submitting this form, you agree to our AI Use Policy.”

Make sure “AI Use Policy” is linked to any mentions of it on your webpage.

Step 4: Test links on mobile and desktop

After you set everything up, check that:

·       all links work;

·       the pages look good and are easy to read on both desktop and mobile; and

·       nothing is cut off or overlapping.

Step 5: Keep your policies

Set a reminder to review these policies at least once a year, or whenever your business changes (for example, you start using a new software, a new email marketing platform or different payment methods). Update the “Last Updated” line at the bottom of each policy when you make changes.
